Fords has been trading in Sidmouth since the late 1800s. The business has essentially remained the same throughout its life which was started by Owen Ford, trading as traditional ironmongers from 132 High Street. Fords has always been a family run business for the home, through its electricians, plumbers, bathroom and kitchen supplies and fitting, and the sales of Home Entertainment and Electrical Appliances.

More recently Fords have moved their showrooms to Alexandria Works Industrial Estate, premises on the edge of Sidmouth, where you can see a large bathroom and kitchen display together with an electrical showroom. Our contracting experts also work from Alexandria Works and will be happy to discuss any electrical or plumbing requirements however large or small. Our Contracting department has many years experience working on large contracts for Local Authorities and other businesses with their accredited plumbers and electricians. Fords have been involved in the recent refurbishment of Sidmouth Hospital for both plumbing and electrical work. Fords Contracting depatment have been instructed with the electrical and plumbing contract for the reconstruction of the Blue Ball Inn at Sidford and the refurbishment of Eagle Hurst Court in Sidmouth.
